Dr. Dennis Schuster's interest in plastic surgery was first sparked at age 12 by an old British book about cleft lip and palate. Years later, after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, he received a D.D.S. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry. He resumed his studies at Buffalo, receiving an M.D. degree from the School of Medicine in 1973, after a tour of duty in the United States Navy. He then completed residencies in surgery at the University of Kentucky and plastic surgery at the Medical College of Ohio under the guidance of the greatly revered John C. Kelleher, Sr.

Dr. Schuster opened his practice for plastic surgery in Fort Worth, Texas in 1978, specializing in cosmetic surgery for adults as well as reconstructive surgery for children. He offers a thoughtful, individualized approach, personalizing surgical options for the needs and desires of his patients. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, he has had extensive experience in breast enhancement surgery for correction of small breasts, asymmetric breasts, and breasts with excess droopiness or ptosis. He has also had extensive experience with breast reduction and has performed over 300 breast reduction procedures utilizing the new vertical method with fewer surgical incisions and more perkiness.

Dr. Schuster is also well skilled in the various techniques of body contouring, whether for excessive weight loss or just cosmetic reshaping, laser resurfacing of the face for rejuvenation, and rhinoplasty for both cosmetic and reconstructive desires.

As a founding member and director of the Oral Facial Clinic at the Cook Children's Medical Center for the past 25 years, Dr. Schuster has a special interest in pediatric plastic surgery, especially as relates to cleft lip and palate deformities. He reserves a special place in his practice for children in need of plastic surgery and is held in especially high regard by his peers and his patients for such care.
